Racehorse owner is getting impatient with his animal, but the reaction is unexpected

A man has a racehorse who has never won a single race in its racing career. The horse is just the laziest he's ever had.

The morning before one race, the horse owner angrily says to the animal, "Horse, this is your last chance. You either win this race today, or you start pulling milk wagons for me tomorrow morning."

The gate opens, and the horses take off. The horse owner looks for his animal in the fray, but finds it at the starting point instead, lying down, asleep on the track.

Unable to control his anger, he enters the field and marches over to the beast, to whom he says, "Why are you sleeping?!"

The horse, half-asleep, mumbles, "I have to get up early in the morning."
